Tango Show

Sorry everyone, times have been crazy as we adjust and work to find our flow in Argentina. Much has gone on but there is still much to come.

The bus rolled up and a sharply dressed driver stepped out and rang the doorbell of the hostel. Fourteen girls and Adam Lee, our professor, boarded the bus in our finest clothes (for many of us hiking shoes and a "nice" blouse) and we were off to the Complejo-Tango. As I sat down the cushions on the seats provided a stark contrast to the hard seats we had become accustomed to on the L.I.F.E. Argentina bus. This was promising to be a good night. When we arrived we quickly climbed the stairs and were ushered into the dining room where we sat and enjoyed some wine before heading off to tango lessons. Alejandro our instructor was a fabulous teacher and managed to eliminate the fear of my lack of rhythm. The hour flew by and next thing we new we were again being seated and the salads were served.
Soon the lights dimmed, fog rolled in, and tango dancers demonstrated the history of the tango. Dinner was served and the steak I had had wonderful flavor. The dance continued and Adam was pulled into a tango and then carried away by the three men in the show. When he returned the show continued. Dessert was served and the show gradual began to wrap up. It was an extraordinary evening and was a wonderful opportunity to experience some of the culture of a Argentina as well as a fine meal. What a fantastic way to wrap up the day, I look forward to seeing what tomorrow holds, but for today its time for bed. Good night all.
